Memories is a SFW half-profit/half-charity Genshin Impact Fanzine focusing on Mondstadt’s beloved trio: Kaeya, Diluc and Jean as the main protectors of the city. The zine will be centered around the three characters’ growth and platonic/familial relationship. A side zine in the form of Crepus’ Journal will also be included to record down the memories of the trio growing up.

GUIDELINES
Application guidelines for all contributors
✦ The genre allowed for this zine includes general, comedy, family, friendship, fluff, angst, and hurt/comfort pieces.✦ Memories is a SFW, PG-13 rated zine. The rating is given for consideration of angst pieces with mild blood content.✦ All contributors must have access to or be willing to create a Discord account. All communication and management of the zine will be done through the Memories Mond Trio Zine’s Discord server.✦ If a contributor chooses to drop out before the project is completed, they will not be compensated and their pieces will not be included in the final zine.✦ All applicants will be asked to provide work samples and a link to their social accounts and portfolio.✦ All portfolio links should be accessible for the mods to navigate and check through your works. Google drives are encouraged for ease of checking and should be shared to the zine’s gmail account ([email protected]).✦ Other links from public sites (ie. Ao3, Twitter, Instagram, Deviantart, etc.) are allowed as long as the applicants provide direct links to each of the referenced works.✦ If the mods are unable to see your samples/portfolios, we will reach out once through your social accounts on the matter. However it will certainly affect your chances of being selected. Please check your links carefully before submitting the application.✦ The style and quality of your works should be similar to the style you wish to contribute to this zine.✦ Any plagiarism, tracing of other artists’ fanarts or official arts, or images generated using AI (Artificial Intelligence) will NOT be tolerated under any circumstances.✦ If any evidence of plagiarized, traced or AI works are found within the submitted portfolio or social accounts, we will reject your application at once.✦ If the discovery of such works were done after you have been accepted into the project, you will be removed from the project.✦ It is recommended, but not required, to submit at least one work which contains all three main characters of the Mond trio: Kaeya, Diluc and Jean. Otherwise, you are required to submit at least one piece which contains one of the three characters in the portfolio.✦ Applicants may apply for more than one position (Page Artist/Merch Artist/Sketch Artist/Writer). However, we will only accept contributors for a single role.✦ We will open the position of a Pinch Hitter in the application form. If an accepted Contributor drops out of the Project for whatever reason, a Pinch Hitter may be called to fill in the spot. Please apply for this position only if you are confident and capable of delivering a finished piece in a shorter time frame.✦ Contributors are allowed to publish a small preview of their artwork/fics on social platforms when the Pre-order period is open. Full pieces can only be published one (1) month after all physical zines have been shipped to buyers.✦ Selected artists may also opt to do spot art collaboration with writers if they so choose. However, this does not take away from their original tasks and roles as a specific artist contributor.
Number of Contributors
Contributors will consist of page artists, writers, merch artists, and sketch artists.At the moment, the list of contributors planned for the zine are as follows:
✦ 15-20 page artists (1-3 full colored pieces for each artist)
✦ 5-10 writers (3k words maximum for each writer)
✦ 3-6 merch artists (2-4 merch designs for each artist)
✦ 3-5 sketch artists for A6 side zine (5-10 black and white artworks from each artist)However, the numbers are subjected to change after the Interest Check.
Compensation for Contributors
Depending on the sales of the zine during Preorder phase, the contributors will be compensated as follows:✦ The main goal for basic coverage is to compensate the contributors with a copy of physical zine including free shipping to each contributor.
✦ If the profit made from the sales exceeds the basic coverage, the compensation will be upgraded to the full physical bundle inclusive of physical merchs. The extra profit from the sales will be channeled towards charity aid for Gaza.
✦ If the profit falls short and the sales do not reach break even, the contributors will instead be given a discount for purchasing the physical zine and merchs at production cost.All contributors will be guaranteed a free high-resolution PDF of the zines and any other digital content regardless of sales.

Page Artist Guidelines
✦ Page Artist applicants shall provide a minimum of three fully rendered pieces with finished backgrounds as samples and a link to the portfolio. More samples are always encouraged.✦ A piece containing all three characters is recommended. Minimum sample required must have at least one (1) finished artwork of one of the three main characters of the zine, either Kaeya, Diluc or Jean. Other samples may be works of other fandom.✦ Selected page artist contributors are expected to provide between 1-3 pieces of fully rendered artworks, either single page or a spread, subject to the contributor’s time, willingness, and capability to deliver the pieces within the allocated time.
Merch Artist Guidelines
✦ Merch Artist applicants shall provide a minimum of three artworks that can be turned into physical merchs and a link to the portfolio. More samples are always encouraged.✦ One of the artwork samples must be of Genshin Impact fandom.
Previous experience in producing merchs is appreciated, though not required. If available, pictures of merch mock-ups or real life samples can be included in the portfolio.✦ Selected merch artist contributors are expected to provide between 1-2 designs for the assigned merch type. This is subject to the findings from Interest Check.
Sketch Artist Guidelines for Side Zine
✦ Sketch Artist applicants shall provide a minimum of five black and white sketches as samples and a link to the portfolio. More samples are always encouraged.✦ A sketch containing all three characters is recommended. Minimum sample required must have at least one (1) completed sketch of one of the three main characters of the zine, either Kaeya, Diluc or Jean. Other samples may be works of other fandom.✦ Samples of sketches to be provided must be of consistent style. Consistency is expected for the side zine.✦ Selected sketch artist contributors are expected to provide between 5-10 fully rendered black and white sketches with shading and texturing. The pieces are expected to focus on the characters. Backgrounds are encouraged but not necessary.✦ Sketch artist contributors are expected to work closely with the writer for side zine.
Writer Guidelines
✦ Writer applicants shall provide two to four completed fics with word count ranging between 1,000 to 3,000 words and a link to their portfolio.✦ A fic focusing on all three characters is recommended. Minimum sample required must have at least one (1) completed fic centering on one of the three main characters of the zine, either Kaeya, Diluc or Jean. All samples provided must be of Genshin Impact fandom.✦ Excerpts from longer fics are accepted as long as the scene provided concludes within the same word count restriction.✦ The submitted samples must abide the rule of the zine (ie. no romance, SFW, PG-13).✦ Selected writer contributors are expected to contribute a written fic piece between 1,000 to 3,000 words.✦ The writers may choose to write two separate pieces while ensuring that the minimum word count for each fic does not fall below 1,000 words while the total word count for both fics will not exceed the 3,000 word count.
